Douglas McCauley "Human of the Year"

Assistant Prof. Douglas McCauley was named "Human of the Year" by Vice Media's Motherboard in recognition of his efforts to draw on new sources of big data and emerging technologies to better understand and solve problems facing the oceans. Researchers in the McCauley Lab use drones, satellites, machine learning, electronic trackers and other tools in their research on the ecology of at-risk wildlife and ecosystems.
