Abstract
T. gondii is a ubiquitous eukaryotic pathogen worldwide. The parasite is the causative agent of toxoplasmosis, a disease for which there is no cure. During infection in a single individual, T. gondii alternates between 2 to 3 forms using molecular processes that are poorly understood. In our lab, we use a reverse genetic approach combined to well-established in vitro and in vivo assays to identify and functionally characterize developmentally regulated genes that may contribute to differentiation and virulence.
